I absolutely love Oakham Ales Citra, brewed as the name might suggest with a single variety Citra hop. Beautiful stuff. Available in waitrose.

Citra is very good. Also from Oakham is Inferno and that's another decent ale.
Oakham also put Citra in bottles for M&S who own label it too. Marginally cheaper than in Waitrose too.

Anyone tried the Shepherd Neame Christmas Ale? I bought a bottle in Tesco the other day on the 4 for £6 deal. It's quite a heavy one at 7%!

I think I'll have it tonight.

They had several Christmas/Festive Ales on tap in my local 'Spoons last Friday. There was also a very pleasant porter, but I cannot remember who from! frown

I had a very nice porter at Wetherspoons fairly recently, probably the same one. I think it was called 'Celebration Porter'; it was 6.5%, and from the Ellands brewery. I also remember that it had the head brewers name (Michael Wynnyczuk) on the card. It was quite dark and rich, I had 3 pints of the stuff and it was lovely. Very reasonable at ~£2.30 a pint as well.

This is currently my favourite Adnams beer at present. Well worth sampling.

I borrow a Motorhome from work once a year to go on a pilgrammage to Southwold.

I stay on the campsite along the beach and awake every morning to the smell of Adnams beers being brewed!

I got a few bottles from the kids for Christmas, favourite so far is Salopian Brewery's Darwin's Origin, one of the best ales I've ever had.

My missus brought 4 litres of a local ale home last friday as she was passing for work. Score. I hope it continues!
