Rebellion oh yes a nice tipple.
Will try binghams - can you recommend a proper ale country pub which serves a good selection?

Tactical Nuclear Penguin normally sells for £32 a bottle - not exactly student fayre!

My neighbour has a bottle of Sink the Bismarck for us to try in the next week or so.
This is my favourite brewery at the moment! Loving the Punk IPA
If you're ever up here in sunny old Aberdeen you should visit their pub they opened at the start of the year! Good place and met one of 'the creators' once. Sound chap! Nutcase!

The Bird in Hand, Knowl Hill (not exactly in the country though).

The Bell in Waltham St Lawrence.

There are a couple of others, I'll post details later.

I believe they're planning to open a number of pubs across the UK now - including one in Camden, which may even have already opened.

Off the subject of Brewdog, I'm really enjoying Brakspear Triple at the moment.

I know it's not a Real Ale but it's bloody yummy. Just discovered Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Oak Aged beer. Absolutely delicious.

I had two of these last night from the Tydd Steam Brewery near Wisbech. Very pleasant, with a dry hoppy taste.

I'm rather partial to white beers. Does anyone know if there are there any UK ones around that I could try?

Off on Hols - the destination (have been before) dont do ale's or anything other than very local lager.

Grr

However the Beer is good for what it is - easy to drink, unusual to the UK, and they have a "Swan Lager" light beer a mid range "Stella" then a really heavy "6.5%".

Going to have to make the most of my stash before we go.

Rebellion do one

I think quite a few other breweries do. Get a copy of the CAMRA guide, every beer brewed in the UK is listed.

Had a lovely pint or 5 rebellions in the Greyhound nettlebed Anthony warrol tgompsons joint.
Go there a fair bit he is in the kit hen every time he always says hello when you arrive from his kitchen then if you stay all night he comes out to chat to all the guests.

I like a game food and he's a huge fan too and his seasonal menu makes the most of it - goes well with ale too.

For anybody based in South Wales you should keep an eye out for The Untapped Brewing Co:

http://www.untappedbrew.com/

Just a two man band that mainly work out of food & drink festivals and do bottle-conditioned beers, but you'll find a few of their beers in the odd pub as well. "Eclipse" is an outstanding dark ale lick

Good brewery them. I had the chance to try their Imperial Baltic Stout on draught the other week. very tasty and pleasant, but might be a tad heavy for some at 11%!... drunk

Sampled a very agreeable pint of this a little earlier this evening -

Lovely full bodied pale ale with a crisp hoppy flavour. Glad i got the chance to try it as i missed the previous brew!...
