Harvey's Best, if well kept, has the most delicious burnt hop aftertaste.

pgm said: In the bottles the Youngs special London Ale at 6.9% is rather nice. In the pub I like to try lots of different stuff, although Adnams broadside or fullers ESB and Youngs Special are nice couldnt have put it better myself. just been in the barrowboy and bankerr on london bridge drinking fullers ESB, bloody lovely! special london is lovely, as is special. if im really thirsty i'll go for fullers golden pride. its a bit strong which is a problem for such a tasty beer. you want to drink it all night but 3 is about all thats sensible.... you sir, have very perfect taste buds

i am a West London lad at heart and do like a nice pint of cooking vintage Fullers London Pride. ..... or for that real memory loss, a night on the Fullers ESB. There are quite a few evenings from my early twenties that i am quite glad i don't recall thanks to this stuff!!!

Good to see I'm not alone BTW, does anyone know of a light ale called "son of a bitch". I had it in a very rural pub which held a beer and pumpkin festival near Swanage during an A-level Geography fieldtrip. It was perhaps the nicest beer I've ever had, thought somewhat potent at about 8% iirc. I've tried a couple of times since to track it/the brewers down online, but with no joy. Cheers
