I had some of that on the weekend, was suprised how much I enjoyed it, it's very Guinness-esque.

Bottle wise not sure where the brewer sources at the moment. Have to organise a PH brewery tour if people are interested

Currently getting through 5 gallons of Donnington BB in a corny keg. Fantastic beer, all the better for being dispensed via tap in my house.

Was very surprised to find Palm on tap at Wetherspoons last night. I'd previously only had it in bottle form and the notice said that it was imported specially for 'Spoons, which is quite impressive.

It was, predictably, lush, and me and my mate drank it until the cask ran out!

Had a couple of bottles of these last night. Very tasty and a nice accompaniment to sausage and Mash. Merry Christmas to all readers of this thread and I hope you sample some decent ales over the festive period. beer

Had a crack this in one of my local pubs on Sunday afternoon! -

(Sorry if the pic is small, was the only decent one i could find!) A pale 7% barley wine from the brewers of the much reverred Wherry. Not the strongest beer of its kind i've sampled, but a very nice drop indeed. It certainly had a kick to it!
A very nice meal in a glass type beer for a cold winters day in by the fire.

Mmmm, Cotleigh Brewery. Takes me back to my youth...

Had a couple of bottles of Ringwood Old Thumper last night as I set sail on Dry January. Always and without fail, a lovely drop.

My local Waitrose has taken to only stocking the smaller (330ml?) bottles of Brakspear Triple now, instead of the man-size ones they used to do.

Somehow they don't seem like such good value.

dunno if it's been mentioned already but Asda 'own brand' ales are on special offer at the moment at £1.29, they're brewed by Shepherd Neame if I remember rightly, the 'Golden Ale' and 'Whitechapel Porter' are both good farty winter brews. Normally I like Deuchars IPA but only Waitrose seem to stock it these days, the Adsa Golden Ale is a good substitute.

Just finished a small keg of "Golden Gill" from the Great Gable Brewing Co.

Slightly biased as it's run by my wife's Uncle but it's a fantastic pint!

I sampled many Ales over the past week in the lakes, blowed if I can remember that names though!

Wainrights springs to mind, very good it was too. I'll do some research of local ales (to that region).

Had a few "Three Tuns" at the weekend (great lunchtime tipple - light/creamy and a hint of sweetness).

I missed the Festival in 2011 (I think it was mid-June?) but will do my best to attend 2012.

No dates on the Three Tuns website (yet).

My local real ale pub had a brilliant selection yesterday. I didn't know which 2 beers to have, so I had a pint of the first 5! The Abbeydale ales were superb, as were my favourites the Citra and Harvest Pale.
