Isn't it the case that you can freeze something again so long as its in a different state, but never the same state twice...

ie, previously frozen raw chicken can be cooked and then frozen in a cooked state.
Yes that is correct!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Bunglist.

You can normally re-heat just once.
Sure, for those of you with cast iron guts may well get away with it.
BUT..... if your unlucky enough that the meat has some super bug on it
(ie a strain of e-coli) you will be in serious trouble!

The chances are that you will get away with it, but is it worth taking the risk?

Regards

Ian

I've never risked more than a couple of times. I usually just pick what I want out of the fridge living leftover bowl and heat that. I've even eaten it cold (but still fresh) with no issues.

This is probably an appropriate place to detail my unpleasant experience today. I have a Camelbak water system for riding which I'd rinsed and dried out a couple of weeks ago. Except the mouthpiece still had a small amount of water in it which I managed to take a mouthful of when I went to use it today. It tasted vile, and I dread to think what bacteria were lurking in it. Unfortunately, I'd swallowed it before the taste hit me.

I think I'm probably going to die or something.

friend has bad ms, he had the camelback same system but got very, very sick after getting infected from the water and not having the speech ability to tell anyone about the taste

tend to get frozen sausages, defrost to make a sausage / tomato foodm eat half and freeze what is left, never had any problems

might get to sit on the toilet more than usual after that, but always put it down to the chilli and garlic or having a highish fibre diet
