Another Cheese thread - What is the strongest cheddar?

Following on from the cheese thread, can anyone recomend me a really strong cheddar?

I noticed someone had posted 'Afterburner Cheddar' in that thread - where do you get this from and is it as strong as the name suggests?

I've bought the 'seriously strong cheddar' from Tesco, but 'seriously strong' it ain't!

Any suggestions?

"Afterburner" is ok, but not of the "flip-top head" strength.

The best strong Cheddar I've tasted is Snowdonia's "Black Bomber"

Cornish cruncher is good from M&S, however a cheddar matured in the caves of cheddar gourge made my eyes water (cant remeber the name)!

Black Bomber is good, how ever i had one in Green Wax which for the life of me can not remember which was as good.

Update on this

Black Bomber - nice cheddar but not as strong as I thought it would be from the recomendation.

Also bought:-

Red Devil - Red Leicester with chillies & crushed pepper - this was nice even though I'm not a Red Leicester fan. The chillies give it a nice kick

Still to try (waiting in the fridge to be opened), Pickle Power - Mature Cheddar with chunks of pickled onion - sounds interesting

Tickler Extra Mature Cheddar, available at Tesco's is impressively strong for a readily available Cheddar. I find it much stronger than the M&S Cornish Cruncher.
