Ardbeg 10 is an interesting one I think. I think if you're going to like a complex and strong flavoured brand like Ardbeg, you're going to want the main event, which for me is everything but the 10 year old. I would never turn it down don't get me wrong, and I'd choose it over many things, but it's a gateway drug I think
I'll see how I get on with the 10. I wanted to try the 77 but at nearly £50 for a miniature, it's a bit pricey for me at the moment. I will try different Ardbeg's in due course.

great little selection there...
Ardbeg 10 is my regular, stumbled across it in a b&b we were staying in.
Went down rather well after a rafting session in North Wales!
The Corryvreckan was on my must try list and was a good price in the duty free.
I am sure you will have a great time getting through your selections

Was in Sainsbury's tonight and took a quick look down the alcohol aisle at the whisky section. Already noticing certain brands.

Might pick up a bottle of Glengoyne 12 year old tomorrow, as I noticed it was new in Waitrose. Anybody know anything about it?
http://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/glengoyne/gle...Completely unpeated (unusual in the highlands), this Glengoyne is soft,
fruity and very quaffable. A fine single malt!

A 12yo Highlander from Glengoyne, famed for their unpeated single
malt.Glengoyne is always very pure in style, allowing their
high-quality, easy-drinking whisky to shine in its natural state.

How are you getting on with your selection? (I must admit, at first glance, I thought you'd gone and bought a bunch of full sized bottles!)I've just finished off my Highland Park 12 Yr Old. Rather a pleasant whisky.
I have noticed something interesting. As I don't drink any other alcohol, people have been startled by the fact that I want to try whisky. I don't want to drink it to get sozzled, I'm interested in the flavours and texture. I even got asked what my mixer will be .
I guess it's a sign of the times that some people think drink is just to get drunk.
