Thanks , I am not sure I have had a bottle,of it before at home,,but might have had the occasional wee dram on our various trips to Scotland Over the last 30 years.

Looking forwards to a sample tonight!

Dangerously drinkable and very good with a mild cigar.

This was rescued from the Post Office late yesterday... biggrin

HUGE thanks to Mr Trophy for picking it up and sending it to me. Above and beyond the call of duty, but massively appreciated!

I am a huge fan of Aberlour, but come to think of it I have never tried the 12!

How is it? Does it compare nicely to the 10 and the 16?

There is a Waitrose near me that I have never set foot in, but that may change now...

The 16 is the sweet spot of the range IMO.

The a'bunadh has been on offer lately at £33.50 - a mere £1 more than the 12 - and that's an amazing value for money cask strength dram (even at full price)

I have had the A'Bundah before, still got some left in fact! It is a spectacular dram, may have to stock up on it before it all goes.

How does the 10 compare to the 12?

The 10 is a good daily dram. The 12 edges it - as you'd expect - just a tad more rounded.

Do you think the A'Bundah is limited? I've never tried it but the 10 is one of my favourites and i always buy when on offer (got two bottles recently) Is it worth getting a couple of A'Bundahs before they run out?

A'Bundah is done in batches (currently #49) so there is a limited supply of each batch, and they do vary from batch to batch.

I love it, and I have been used to Glenmorangie Qunita Ruban too!

I think I few more might be on the food(booze!) shopping list.

Had a bottle of the 16 since January and haven't got around to opening it, all this Arbelour talk means it may get opened soon. hehe

The 16 is on offer in Waitrose too. £38.50. Not sure if that's good or not though.

I must look like I'm casing the joint, in there everyday and barely buy anything!

Friendly distillery to visit as well. They do a "bottle your own" on site. When we went, they had two - a sherry and a bourbon cask. lick

Good old PH choosing random angles...

Some of the haul... the 1812 is amazing!

For those on a more limited budget the Aberlour 10 was on offer at £20 in sainsburys a few nights ago. I think they're normally about £32.

Re: Advent Calenders

I've currently run out of space on my whisky shelf so I've promised myself that I'll only replace empty bottles now frown

I had that problem. To overcome it, I purchased an old cupboard on eBay.
