Found another good deal.

Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old Malt 70cl - down from £34.99 to £28.00 @Morrisons

Ralfy rated this one 90/100, so not bad for that price.

Happy days. I just spotted a bottle of Lagavulin 1995 (bottled 2011) Pedro Ximénez Cask Finish - Distillers Edition in my local Tesco:-
https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/lagavulin/la...

a steal at £70.
Also they had Talisker Distillers Edition
https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-15899.aspx

for £52.

Naturally I couldn't resist either :-)

Ardbeg Alligator. Flamed cask interiors until they crack and look a bit like Alligator skin, spirit goes in and ages in there as normal, then you get a very smoky (and already very peaty) result. I love it, poss not for everyone!

Had a viking god visit me today, the much hyped Highland Park Odin. Not going to drink it just yet though.
A friend of mine has the full set and no intention of drinking any of them. Rotter.

My latest acquisition:

Rather nice in isolation but makes a damn tasty manhattan.

The black label 100 proof version is better but it is still a great rye.

Yesterday whilst shopping in Marks and Spencers I picked up a bottle of Kilchoman Machir Bay. I was going to keep it for a while, but my curiosity got the better of me so I opened it to sample last night.
I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a really good dram.
If you like peated and smokey Islay malts then for £40 this is a cracker.

Tempted to get a Bowmore Tempest #4 though.
If batch 4 is half as good as batch 3 then you'll be getting a cracking whisky. I'm a big fan of the 3, and in reflection , it comes to mind as the best whisky find I've had for years. Plus of course , if vfm is high in the mind, then around £50 for such a great whisky is astonishing bang for buck in todays world.
Saw nowt on my travels of interest so a bottle of Tempest Releave IV arrived yesterday from MoM smile

Yeah, have a lot "in stock" at the moment.

Very easy to drink, but not that smooth. Some citrus and salt in there too.

Made it myself.

Brought a glass drill bit and all the lighting bits and pieces. cost around £15, for bulb and cabling etc.
