I know taste and preference is subjective but I want to buy either the Ardbeg Uigeadail or Corryvreckan. Has anyone here tried both? Any tips on which to go for?
Yep! They're both great. Corryvreckan is very firey. If you don't like it spicy I'd go with Uigeadail but tbh you can't really go wrong. Thanks for that, I quite like it spicy. I may give the Corryvreckan a go first then. I'm getting through my A'bunadh and Talisker 10 far too quickly at the moment, I need an alternative. Although I do have a bottle of Lagavulin to open too, I was saving that for the birth of our second in July, maybe I'll crack it open sooner and save the Corryvreckan for that.

Interesting, thanks.
You have the first sentence in quotes - is this a response you've gleaned from asking someone else?
Yes sorry. That is correct, I Emailed my usual online retailer for Whisky and that was their response. You have the first sentence in quotes - is this a response you've gleaned from asking someone else?
Heads up.
Aberlour 12 (note 12 not 10 year old) is only £26 at Sainsburys:-

Great deal for the 12 year old, if it floats your boat.

When - is it available?Where - is it available?
How - can i get some?
Have ended up sitting with two very different whiskies in front of me, both in terms of taste and price..
No 1, is a 10 year old DYC (Spanish) which was 15 euros in a Barcelona supermarket, and bought spur of the moment as it was no great loss if it wasn't any good. It is however very good, light but very drinkable.
No 2 is a 50 yr old North British single grain, which has a very intense almost cigar like flavour. Can I justify a full bottle??
Just shows some of the extremes you can find with whisky!!
