Awh, I miss living in Scotland occasionally, with fighting talk like that! It's a bit too civilised here sometimes,
Off to Sweden this weekend, and will make the most of the cheaper alcohol to get a few bottles. Ordered Ardbeg Corryvreckan (10yo is running out so need to keep the supply of peat bombs topped up) and Mackmyra Iskristall (Ice crystal when translated). It's described as:
"NOSE
Spicy, fruity, oaky and berry with hints of honey and toasted oak barrels. Tobacco and fresh herbs mixed well with the aromas of dried fruits, pear and citrus.
TASTE
Fruity with fine herb spices. Vanilla Toffee, anise, sweet raisins and grape fruit in a balanced spicy and oaky flavor. The aftertaste is oaky and spicy with hints of dried fruits."
Should be interesting to try, not had any of their stuff before.

The new Mackmyra sounds interesting. If you are after a real peat bomb then look out for the new Octomore 7.1 (7.2 has also been released as a Duty Free bottling).
I will be sharing it with friends on the ski trip at the weekend, so looking forward to it. I've really been wanting to try an Octomore, but Norway hasn't sold any sadly. They don't allow stuff over 60%, as it's classified as a drug, which rules quite a few of them out. Just saw the Ardbeg Perpetuum will be getting released here in May for £80, which is not bad! Another of interest (to me) is the 31yo Glendronach Grandeur for a good price (relatively). Big fan of theirs, so will try and pick one up. I will be grabbing (hopefully) a couple of the new Ardbeg on Monday but I have managed to spend so much recently that I should hold back a bit. Having said that, I'm flying back to the UK at the end of the month so will have a nose around Duty Free. My GF came back after a weekend away with work and bought a bottle of Dornach which I was very happy with and I have some Mars and a couple of Octomores waiting for me at my parent's house.
