I love the 16 but I've not tried the 12, any good?
It's good but I prefer the 16 myselfI like the 12, but compare it to the 10.
I've seen offers where the A'bunadh is cheaper than the 12 and the 16 - and that really is a good dram.

I was also given a tip by the owner, for a very special bottle of Whisky Castle (apparently a private cask), only available via a brewpub on Lake Zurich.
Great write up. Thanks for that. Could you share the name of the brewpub please?http://www.waedenswiler.ch/
It's within fairly easy reach of Zurich, and supposed to be worth a visit.

Wädenswil is less than a 10 minute train ride from me. I don't have plans at the weekend, hmmm....

I was REALLY tempted by the Generations Mortlach 75 Years Old masterclass
http://www.whiskyshow.com/whats-on/masterclasses/m...
So I decided to do it and bought a ticket, glad I did as they sold out in less than a minute!

So the consensus is that the new Supernova is good?
I was thinking of picking one up, but having been burned by the last couple of Ardbeg limited editions (Rollercoaster and Alligator were, imho, disappointing for the price) I'm wary, especially as online pricing is close to Balvenie 21...

Had a mooch around Sainsbury's at lunchtime:
Aberlour 12 - £26
Bowmore Small Batch Bourbon Cask - £27
Glen Moray 10 - £21
I think Highland Park was down to c£25 as well.
I'm having to curb spending at the moment or else I'd have taken all the first 3 of the above!
Had a 2nd nip of the Glendronach 15 the other night. I'll be totally honest and admit it's doing nothing for me This is only the 2nd Highland I've tried and I've not been fussed by either. Maybe Highlands just aren't to my taste.

I've bagged myself a 47 year old (Glenfarclas) for a ridiculously good price.
Inside it looks more like diet coke than whisky (it's that dark).
How does it compare to the 46?Inside it looks more like diet coke than whisky (it's that dark).

I just got back from holiday on the Amalfi Coast.
Whilst there I popped into a Spirits shop while the Mrs was shopping for clothes in Sorrento.
It turned out to be a lucky move, as they were selling off some stock, and I managed to bag a bottle of Highland Park 18 for €50 or the equivalent of £38, compared to a UK price of about £99. I was nervous it might not be a genuine bottle, but pleased to say it certainly is.
I've wanted a bottle of HP18 for quite some time, but really didn't want to pay best part of a £100 for it.
Absolute bargain.
If I'd had more baggage space I'd have grabbed a few more bottles.
