Am trying Benriach Curiositas tonight.

What a bloody lovely dram it is! Smoky but nothing like an Islay.

Keep saying I'm going to get a bottle and never get around to it.

I have an Amazon voucher doing nothing, so a bottle will definitely be ordered this weekend. biggrin

Edited to say, ordered and arriving Monday. biggrin

From past experience, I'd imagine very few, single figures at most. From my experience the main way to get Lagavuilin cut price is if the supers who ony stock it for the festive period and then fail to clear stocks after a reasonble period after the new year.

Although, have to say that seems not as rich as it was, methinks much goes back into the warehouse for next year. No more Lagavulin for 25 quid, sadly!

Get yourself a Costco card - that's where I get my lagavulin from at roughly £40 a bottle with vat.

It's £48.50 in Waitrose but my missus had been sent a 25% off voucher. I was amazed when they said it usable on alcohol - it wasn't too difficult to hit the £120 spend required!

Well here is another chance - 7pm for Prime Members...7:30pm for everyone else...and it's the Distiller's Edition this time!

Lagavulin Distillers Edition Whisky 70 cl

Normally £72 so imagine it will be down around £50.

I've just managed to pick up a Distillers before that deal ended - yippee - all time favourite dram. The numbers went from 94% sold to 96% - so either there were a couple of sales at the same late stage or there were about 50 bottles by my reckoning.

In bother - more bottles - Mrs Mercs is planning her spending. I don't like the window blinds she wants - and they won't give me the same level of pleasure. But we will be ordering ....

Ooops - just been back and picked up an A'Bunadh

I think Lagavulin is possibly my favourite malt out of those I've tried so far (am two thirds down my second bottle).

I've got a bottle of distillers too, but I'm saving that one!
