At the moment the whisky shelf in the kitchen has the following:

Open:

Laphroaig 10
Old Pultney 12
Lagavulin 16
Bunnahabhain 12
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Glenlivet Nadurra
Bowmore Enigma
Aldi Glen Marnoch 18 - Fantastic drop and highly recommended if you see it, think it was £24.99 or something.
Nikka All Malt - A very nice Japanese blend and another good price at under £30.

Yet to be opened:

Taliker 10 - Try to always have a bottle and haven't got around to opening the latest.
Aldi Glen Marnoch - A bourbon cask Speyside, don't know what it's like.
Arbelour 16
Laphroaig 18
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or
Tullibardine 228
Tamdhu 12

I've put in a request for a couple of lesser known whiskies for Christmas and I'm going to order this as a treat for Christmas: https://www.thewhiskyexchange.com/P-14902.aspx

I try and keep my stash to around a dozen bottles. I'm a bit above that - all these are open right now though. Whisky is for drinking not looking at...

Auchentoshan - 19 (cadenheads) (liked it so much this was my second bottle. They've run out though)...
Aushentoshan - 10 (gift - nice enough but not spectacular)
Balvenie - port wood 21 (my second bottle if this too - one of my all time favourites)
Balvenie - tun 1401 - batch 7 (rare and complex, expensive too but most of the time I'll go to the 21.)
Chichibu - on the way - fresh fruity (think pineapple chunks) bought as a result of the tasting this week. Not my first Japanese whisky but certainly the first I'll buy more of)..
Dalmore - king Alexander III ( big bold and smooth. Not quite as good as the Balvenie 21 for me but a fine dram nonetheless)
Glencadam - 16 1991 (gift. Pretty decent sort of citrusy vs what I would normally go far though).
Glenglassaugh- 26 - bloody lovely!
Glenmorangie - 25 - one of my favourites. Feels great in the mouth, very very smooth. Fastest I've ever drunk a bottle. Nearly our need another)
Glenmorangie - signet - bang for the buck this the the best dram here in my view. Big toasty cars nelly and smooth as...
Glenmorangie - 18 - surprisingly floral and citrus it's nice but I'm just not drinking it much..
Inchmurrin - 28 (1974) cask - a laitthwaites bottling I bought in 2003 and list then opened this year. It's quite delicate but not my favourite...
Jura - superstition - crash bang wallop quite a lot of peat and smoke. Need to be in the mood...
Penderyn - Madeira finish - although it's open I've not actually tried it yet.
Talisker - 25 - pretty special very smooth.
Talisker - cask strength - big powerful Talisker lots of peat..
Talisker - distillers edition - my favourite talisker...
Talisker - 57 North - not a fan..
Talisker - 10 - it's never a bad thing to have.

Also around the whisky I have some fine gin, homemade blackberry whisky, vodka and sloe gin (which is a bit of a hobby of mine).

Glendronach? IMO, the best sherried whiskies you can find.
And here's why... http://maltandoak.com/glendronach-15-is-it-the-bes...
Has anyone compared the 2014 12 year old to the 18yo equivalent from last year and seen if there is a big difference? Would be interesting to know how much is down to the "wrong" age label, smile

Epic dram, and a talented young lady. Sadly now moved on from Glenglassaugh.

Just noticed that autocorrect has turned done of my notes into a carcoats damphands whisky review. Quite amused.

Looking out for more glenglassaugh as have got quite a taste for it all of a sudden...

Just tried the Revival tonight. I see the reviews are a bit varied, but I guess that's to be expected with such a young whisky. Lots of caramel taste, not the best finish though. Reminded me a bit of Jura Superstition I think it is (one of the Jura ones, had it at a friend's so not 100% sure it was the Superstition).

I'm really tempted to get the Glenmorangie Signet - seems to be different but a lot of very good reviews.

Not surprised you have a taste for the Glenglassaugh, as that 26yr old we had at the tasting was superb.

Might be tempted to pick up a bottle of that and the Chichibu at some point..

I spoke to the distillery on Friday morning - it's all gone. It's a case of finding one out there...

Aberlour 10yo picked up for £20 in Sainsbury's on Sat. Think they had Stathisla 12 at £25 as well IIRC.

Managed to survive a heavy Whisky weekend with the Brother in Law up in Speyside.

Had a couple of distillery tours;
GLEN GRANT - great value at £5 for a 1 hour interesting tour plus x2 drams at the end which we're sadly not to my taste. (major's reserve & 10yr old)
GLENFIDDICH - amazing set-up with visitor centre, coffee shop etc. Again, not my preferred type of Whisky but the Bro-in-Law enjoyed it.

We were staying in Craigellachie at The Highlander Inn which was adequate and has it's own Whisky Bar downstairs sporting some interesting drams. However, the Craigellachie Hotel opposite, where we had lunch, is fantastic for food, accommodation and most importantly Whisky! The highlight for me was a Bunnahabain 25 which was simply stunning albeit a little pricey at £20/dram (bottle is normally £200'sh). The Bro-in-Law likes his Mortlach's and managed to find another good one. As a peathead, I stuck to my Ardbeg Uigedail and Lagavulin's but also had a go at a Bowmore Peat Smoked Herring which was, let's just say, interesting!! hurl I can still smell the fishy notes!!

The evening was spent in the Highlander bar sampling a few more including Craigellachie Silver which was quite nice.

Fantastic weekend and a must for any Whisky fan.

And the offer is still on at £20 at Asda as well (Aberlour 10).

Thanks for the heads up. Just bought the two. I'll open the Strathisla tonight, as I've never tried that before.
