At christmas, I was walking around sainsbury's and came across:
Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Ale. This was a small'ish bottle, presented in a box. I finally had it last weekend, and am now a huge fan!

Bloody Lovely, I tell thee hehe

However, I can no longer not find it anywhere !?! They have Innis & Gunn Original, Aged Oak etc etc - but not the Rum Cask Ale.

Their website is pretty damn useless too!

So, before I contact them tomorrow - does anyone know where I can get a bottle from?

I've tried some local speciality stores, sainburys, waitrose - online too, but to no avail.

Or, if you have some and are willing to sell it?

I haven't seen it for some months either - used to get it from Sainsburys - as you say, can still find the others but not that one.

Will keep an eye on this thread for supplies smile

Can't believe we first discovered it in an All Bar One!

I had this at Christmas too and really enjoyed it. I think it was on special offer and so it may have been the end of line stuff.

Let us know

Mrs5678 and I had the pleasure of discovering Innis & Gunn on our trip to Edinburgh. The Original was most popular with us and luckily my local Sainsburys had some in 500ml bottles.

The Scots were serving it chilled, but I'm prefering it nearer room temp. Seems to show more of the toffee flavour when it's a bit warmer.

Shared a bottle with an Uncle who lives in France and now I have to take him a crate as payment for putting us up over Le Mans weekend!

We used to own Innis and Gunn, its a great beer.

For Burns Night, we did a LETHAL Monkey Shoulder cocktail with a double Monkey Shoulder, apricot jam, and ginger wine topped up with Innis and Gunn. Tasty, with an amazing barley taste.....but pretty much a beer with a whisky chaser built in. Punchy wink

"unique limited bottling". Does that mean it's a one-off? hope not...

Widely available now, its part of the range in most places.

Similar to what Old Speckled Hen did at the same time with Golden/Crafty/Hoppy Hen. Marketed and sold as Ltd Editions to test the response, then rolled out across the range.

A shame they don't do the bigger 600 odd ml bottle like the Original is available in.

Innis & Gunn Rum Finish is delightful. Our local Morrison's, one of the larger stores, stock it.

https://groceries.morrisons.com/webshop/getSearchP...

Edited to add, not sure if that's the same as Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Ale as the Rum Finish is just a standard bottle.

It lacks the depth of taste that some have, especially the Belgian ones, but I had the Rum one last night, that was much better, almost like an Old Peculier.
