Having found a number of great places to eat thanks to Shady's original wiki 
I thought I'd start an international good restaurant/pub/whatever guide. Same format as before, but I've given a little more detail for the hungry traveller.. 
Parkhotel Tristachersee - an oasis of peace in the middle of the Tyrolean alps- good base for drives on the famous mountain routes of Grossglockner, Felbertauern, Staller Sattel and Sella Ronda -safe parking as remote address, excellent food and wine(own freshwater fish breeding)well regarded in foodie magazines (2 cooking hats in Gault Millau- most renown publication in Austria as Michelin is not published there), modern spa, in Summer private beach on the lake the owners Mr and Mrs Kreuzer go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable,good value for money http://www.parkhotel-tristachersee.at
Zeno - Stunning looking food (and good tasting). Had the degustation menu with matched wines. 105 euro each for the lot. Brilliant. then went and downed a load of Belgian beer in the basement next door!

Palfy Palace - Hard to find but well worth it. Like having dinner in a Victorian living room.
V-Zatisi - Another favorite of mine, great food and local wine flight was surprisingly good.
Don Pedro - By the river just up from the dancing house. Small Columbian restaurant, very friendly service with some fantastic dishes. The churrasco was a delight - Shirt.
Ferdinanda - Solid Czech food served in a clean, modern setting on two levels near the railway station. Really reasonable prices and good quality food and drink that seems to be enjoyed by the locals.
Olde Hansa. Somewhat cheesy medieval styled place but rather impressive food. Indoors is candle lit (no leccy in medieval times) so take a torch to read the menu. The menu is vast and you're guaranteed to find something interesting. There are no side dishes so to speak and the cooks choose things which will go with your choice of dish so be prepared for a few surprises. Can be pricey but worth it for the sheer interest of the whole place. -- Snoggledog
Chakra. This may be surprising given the location, but it's an Indian. The food is quite frankly astonishing and would be worthy of a top spot on many curry awards. The Tandoori Roasted Masala Lamb Chops are sublime. All main meals come with steamed rice so there's no real need to order any more. -- Snoggledog

Le Benaton
Michelin-star restaurant about 100yds outside the city walls. Very inventive and beautifully presented modern-French cuisine without being over-priced (Various 2-choice set-menus up to 75pp, we both had the 65), and served to you al-fresco at the back of the property. Service was very formal - wine kept on a central table tended by the wine waiter, each dish explained to you when it is served - but otherwise very good. Would definitely go back. -Havoc- Seconded. La Truffire 4 Rue Blainville 75005 Paris amazing chef putting a real twist on traditional french food, try the taster menu also great wine celler which moves away from french wines -Zen. Extraordinary selection of old vintage brandies too. -Zod-
Le Tour d'Argentt This place is an institution for Classic French food, it has however gone from 3 to 2 to 1 Michelin Stars from 3 generations of the family.
This place has spectacular views over the Seine and Notre Dam, however you need to be seated in the right place otherwise the view is through the middle of buildings. The service is quite stuffy, lots of old waiters who can be quite abrupt at times. The area this places excels is its wine list, it is in the Guinness books of records for the largest wine cellar/collection in the world, in excess of 500.000 bottles at one stage and subject to a book about the Nazi and wine in WW2. I was fortunate to visit the cellar (a rare occurrence) l gather and wow bottles pre dating the French revolution.

Ethiopia - Allenby St. Ethiopian obviously! Not fine dining or a great room/location, but tasty, cheap, and different from the norm. Just look at what everyone else is eating and ask for the same, worked for us! Shirt.

Il Sole di Ranco - amazing location and views, great place to be when the sun sets, around EUR100p.p. great food, not too modern, not too old fashioned
Trattoria della Vigna - lovely trattoria tucked away on the north side of Porlezza, in the hills. No lake view but beautiful surroundings anyway. Sit out on the terrace on the summer evenings under the vines, with the sound of cicadas in the background, enjoy very helpful friendly service, always plenty of choice of great food, thoroughly satisfying and not expensive.
Shangri La Corsetti - Only ever heard good things from my clients in Rome and wasn't disappointed. Large outdoor terrace overlooking a swimming pool, but plenty of space inside too. Cafe Francais Place d'Armes 14, Luxembourg City. We stayed in the hotel arriving late, after the concierge said their Fillet Steak was very good, we had to give it a go. 3 Ph'ers all agreed that it was the best steak we had in many years - Smack

Superb food and swish lounge bar overlooking the Alzette river in the redeveloped site of the old Mousel Brasserie (brewery).
Very large terrace which can be covered if the weather changes
There's nothing on the menu I wouldn't recommend! (and no, I don't own the place!)

A new building built in the style of the surrounding 16th/17th century townhouses
Overlooks the Alzette river in the old part of Luxembourg City. Frequented regularly by visiting dignitaries/leaders.
Pricey, but very good.

In a country where Asian food is dumbed down to suit the local, bland palate, finally a restaurant with chefs who, when they say it's spicy, it means it's spicy. Very friendly and accomodating staff, happy to recommend specials not listed on the menu, and top notch food every time.
Buffet lunches are very good value, with l carte dining in the evenings for 30-50 incl. wine/beer

Pepperoncino's Just off Gorg Borg Olivier Street, next to Muudy Waters' bar. This small and uninspring looking place offers some of the best service to be found on the island, along with great food and a pretty good wine list. It is very centrally located for the nightspots of St Julian's and an easy walk from most of the big hotels. My favourite place for dinner in Malta for the 3 years I lived there. - Pothole
Rebekha's Restaurant 12, Triq it-Tgham (also known as Old Mill Street), Mellieha. (+356) 2152 1145. http://www.starwebmalta.com/profile.asp?id=REB001. Finding it is hard. In a residential street with a small sign. It is a refurbished farmhouse style building with an internal courtyard for warm weather dining, nice cosy dining room for colder weather. The Maltese side of the family put me onto this place and I found it excellent as well. Well cooked reasonably priced food, the rack of lamb was very good. Good wine list and service very attentive.- a2z.
Excellent traditional fish restaurant, open since 1971. No menu, choose your own fish. Very good food and nice atmosphere.

Denia – QueQue Dacosta Michelin 3 Stars.
Set 6 ‘Act’ menu each act consisting of three courses. Food fabulously prepared and presented. Wine matching worth the extra as it introduces you to some fairly exotic wines and liquors. Prices extremely high for what was offered though. The restaurant is in the middle of an urbanisation and lacks any form of view as all the windows are screened either by plants or curtains. We found the restaurant had little ambiance and for the prices charged would have expected better.

I ate here a few years ago - I think 2007 or 2008 when in Mallorca for work (Yes I was only on the island for 15 hours for an early morning meeting). Fine dining at it's best but not stuffy. This place WILL be getting a star. Art tasting menu was truly fantastic - the wine flight was top class too, some real gems in there, the 'orange's wine and sake to name but a few. Service was exactly as it should be, attentive, friendly, customer focussed, knowledgeable about the wines and food. To be expected of course but London starred restaurants leave a lot to be desired in comparison - this place beats a relatively recent three star visit in London....

Simply brilliant food ( try the Reindeer fillets) in a fabulous location- restaurant formed from 5 cellars of neighbouring houses hence the name- goes down 3 levels underground. Entrance is not that obvious- big chunky wooden door in side street. Book in advance
Excellent wine list but as usual for Stockholm highly priced. Had a Chilean wine that was out of this world. Got to be one of the best restaurants in Sweden.

Yoshi's Jazz Club and Japanese Restaurant 1330 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, CA 94115, Phone: 415.655.5600 - A bizarre combo of a modern Japanese fusion restaurant, with a jazz club inside it. live performances are piped through to the restaurant, and there is an upstairs mezzanine bar where you can sip cocktails and watch the performance on plasma screen if you can't get into the club. The food is exquisite!

Frequently voted in the world's top 10 restaurants. Requires booking a few months in advance for Thurs/Fri/Sat. If you go for the wine pairings (I recommend don't) the bill is typically around $800-$1000 for two. It is for many a once in a lifetime experience, but food presentation is unlike anything you will see anywhere else.

Voted best burger in the US. Consequently if you are not queuing up when it opens expect a 4-6 hour wait weekends and evenings. The burger is very very good, and weekends they do an awesome take on the English Breakfast (they don't use crappy crispy american bacon).

Probably the best dinner views in the city and they do a great steak - perfect for couples and business meetings. Like all restaurants in Chicago you need to book at lest a few weeks in advance if you want to eat at a normal time. Worth a visit even if you are only going to the bar.

Sushi Restaurant voted Chicago Restaurant of the year. Little pricey at $100+ per head with drinks and tip. Great sushi obviously, but their desserts are fantastic if you like chocolate.

On the river with great views in the new Bank of America skyscraper. Great people watching at the bar on the ground floor and actually the tasting menu $75 is actually good value for the food and presentation - budget $125/150 per head with drinks and tips. The restaurant upstairs does some great steaks at standard high end prices. Dinner for two is $300-400 with a couple of drinks.

Very highly rated asian fusion type place, but hands down the best service I've ever had. The food was fantastic and they do some great desserts - $50-60 per head (if you can get in so plan ahead).

The menu is vast and you're guaranteed to find something interesting. There are no side dishes so to speak and the cooks choose things which will go with your choice of dish so be prepared for a few surprises. Chakra. This may be surprising given the location, but it's an Indian. The food is quite frankly astonishing and would be worthy of a top spot on many curry awards. Le Tour d'Argentt This place is an institution for Classic French food, it has however gone from 3 to 2 to 1 Michelin Stars from 3 generations of the family.
This place has spectacular views over the Seine and Notre Dam, however you need to be seated in the right place otherwise the view is through the middle of buildings. The service is quite stuffy, lots of old waiters who can be quite abrupt at times. The area this places excels is its wine list, it is in the Guinness books of records for the largest wine cellar/collection in the world, in excess of 500.000 bottles at one stage and subject to a book about the Nazi and wine in WW2. I was fortunate to visit the cellar (a rare occurrence) l gather and wow bottles pre dating the French revolution.

I ate here a few years ago - I think 2007 or 2008 when in Mallorca for work (Yes I was only on the island for 15 hours for an early morning meeting). Our cab driver recommended this place as it was close to our hotel and the food and atmosphere was very very good. Family run for about 35 years - specialises in roast meats and their Iberian Ham. Fine dining at it's best but not stuffy. This place WILL be getting a star. Art tasting menu was truly fantastic - the wine flight was top class too, some real gems in there, the 'orange's wine and sake to name but a few. Service was exactly as it should be, attentive, friendly, customer focussed, knowledgeable about the wines and food. To be expected of course but London starred restaurants leave a lot to be desired in comparison - this place beats a relatively recent three star visit in London....

Simply brilliant food ( try the Reindeer fillets) in a fabulous location- restaurant formed from 5 cellars of neighbouring houses hence the name- goes down 3 levels underground. Entrance is not that obvious- big chunky wooden door in side street. Book in advance
Excellent wine list but as usual for Stockholm highly priced. Had a Chilean wine that was out of this world. Got to be one of the best restaurants in Sweden.

Ravi Restaurant - Satwa Road, Dubai Frill free and cheap as chips - think plastic chairs and formica tables. The Pakistani food here is amazing, a true insitution, and attracts everyone from taxi drivers to rich locals. Ravi's is currently at No.1 [of 4000+] on Trip Advisor's recommended things to do in the Middle East, and not without good reason.
