Dark N'Stormy (National Drink here)

Black (Dark) Rum
Ginger Beer
Ice
Glass.
One of my fave drinks - for me it needs a splash of bitters in it along with some fresh lime as well though

Harvey wallbangers are really easy and pretty tasty - basically Vodka and orange with a galliano float.

Caprioskas and Caparhinas another one of my faves they sound very easy to make but you notice when you get a good one!

Either Vodka or Cachaca (brazilian rum type booze)
Lime and brown sugar squished (technical term ;-)) together
lots of ice
can add optional fruit to the squishing stage - strawberrys are good for this

Anyone got any nice milk based ones biggrin
Try this:-

Milk

Ice

Banana Liquor (maybe a splash of vodka)

and fresh bananas

Wizzz up in your mixer and serve

Its like a milkshake

lick
also good if you use chocolate milkshake instead of milk!

White Russian... lovely drinks.

I think it can be as simple as

1 part vodka
1 part kaluha
1 part single cream
Interesing way to do WRs is using baileys rather than cream.

Heres my top tip for summer cocktail fun.

Imperial Pimms.

Make as per normal Pimms but instead of lemonade, use Champagne.

You drink it like Pimms as well, in pints.

Ruination before sun down.

Good plan, I know whats coming with me to the party I'm at tomorrow night. The local chavshop Tesco also has 25% off if you buy 6 or more bottles of any champagne, so that's that sorted. Actually, I may as well start this evening after work.

Friday afternoons, don't you just love them!

here's another goodie:

Christmas Cooler:

30ml Whisky
15ml either cinnamon or gingerbread liqueur or syrup
5ml triple sec
Top with cranberry juice

Build into highball with cubed ice and stir well. Garnish with an orange wedge squeezed in and dropped in.

I've no idea but £10 for some straw and canvas shoes seems like massive inflation to me.

right, another goodie of which I've just had two:

you need a shaker (or jamjar),
ice
juice of half a lemon
handful of mint
2 tsp sugar
handful of blueberries
75cl good gin like hendrick's (a very generous slug or two)

put the sugar, lemon juice and mint into a shaker and give it a decent stir.

add the ice and gin and shake the hell out of it for a minute.

strain into a tumbler full of ice cubes and put a couple of mint leaves in.

if you liked the Gin Basil Smash, you will love this smile

Ok is it a cocktail.....

It is a refreshing mix of Alcoholic Drinks ideal for a hot day (and could certainly be classed as simple).

"Turbo Shandy" = Mix of Lager + Smirnoff Ice

Had "a few" of these at the weekend

Haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if already posted...

Last week we had a full day in town for HH junior #2's birthday and he wanted lunch in TGIFs (yes, I know, I know) and Mrs HH had a 'Lynchburg Lemonade'.

2 x JD
2 x Orange liquer (Countreau will do)
Lots of lemonade
In the mixer over lots of ice, shake very, very hard, no ice in the glass

We have recreated this in our local and at home cloud9
