Grilled sausages? wobble They must be fried, slowly in oil in order to keep them moist, never grilled.

Bugger that! 25 - 30 mins in the oven. No oil.

And it leaves your frying pan free for the eggs.

You mean you don't have a sausage pan and an egg pan?

Oh and how do you cook yours. My mum always fried it so I cook it the same way but want to try a different way.

I've had it poached with a mustard sauce lick & grilled.
It is already cooked so you can just slice it & enjoy.

Tesco & Sainsbury sell a pack of 4 slices of Bury black pudding.
I know and I don't like it. Sainburys used to do a black pudding about half the size of the ring above but stopped doing it so you can only get the Bury stuff hurl

Absolutely, makes the sausage skins crispy...perfect!!

2 runny eggs, hash browns, mushrooms cooked in butter and a couple of slices of bread and butter...the latter for either mopping up the egg yolk, or for making impromptu sausage hash brown and egg sarnies yes

Heathens the lot of you... smile I just remember years ago Gary Rhodes doing a programme on breakfast and he explained that sausages should not be pricked and should be fried slowly in oil, this means they remain moist and retain their flavour. Most sausages that I've tasted which have been cooked in an oven are usually too dry. frown

Cant believe someone on here had the nerve, the AUDACITY to state spuds have no place in an english breakfast!

What utter, utter crap

I used to sit and have a fried brek every schoolday with my stepdad before he went off to work, complete with friend spuds left from the previous day,l sliced and fried up

and that's in the 70's when real men eat real breakfasts!

Poncy isn't it! rolleyes

Bacon & Egg Breakfast Burgers

As featured in Award-winning Chef Ted Reader’s latest book ‘Napoleon’s Everyday Gourmet Plank Grilling,’ these ‘plank-baked’ burgers are a mouth-watering combination of ground pork, Bone Dust BBQ seasoning, Parmesan cheese, onion, honey mustard and Japanese panko bread crumbs - wrapped with bacon and topped with an egg! He says “I made this one morning as a last-minute recipe for the City TV Morning Show host, Jennifer Valentine.”

someone very kindly commented that the subject of a photo i posted in the 'picture of your dinner' thread 'looked like gruel' which in my opinion wasnt in the spirit of these threads. But it hasnt put me off posting in that thread more than once!
