I was going to declare you the winner till I saw how close the eggs were to the beans and you use Lurpak spreadable. Why would someone spread vegetable oil on their toast?

Apart from that, it really does look fantastic

Agreed. Looks delicious. Those beans on the far plate are almost spilling off the side.

My Uncle uses flora. He doesn't cook from fresh and is 3 stone overweight but because he uses flora "lite" or whatever they call it he's ok.

Being a bit more sensible this morning. The BP from our local butcher is awesome but I need to cut down!

I had to work early Sunday morning so had an instant greasy breakfast with large coffee when I got back. No bacon but lardons made an interesting alternative!

Went to my parents from breakfast on Sunday - I should do that more often:

What started as a bacon sandwich morphed itself into what was almost a proper breakfast.

Chicken club sandwich -chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo- for brunch today (does brunch count?)...

Our hens (4.5 years old!) have started laying again after giving up towards the tail end of last year. Nice to have a proper fresh poachie with an English breakfast and a gallon of tea to kickstart Sunday.

What bacon do you buy Matt?

I'm usually a streaky smoked but have been enjoying good quality dry cured smoked back recently.

I get smoked back from the butcher in the next village to me, together with his "old time recipe" sausages and black pudding.

The bacon comes with rind on so needs a bit of trimming. It's really nice, quite a mild smoking and doesn't shrink when cooked.

Sounds good. There's nothing worse than water filled supermarket bacon leaching white residue in the pan.
