I didn't care for the Tesco ones, but took one of the local butcher thick pork sausages, removed the casing and formed the sausage meat into a patty.

That's a much better solution if a little more effort especially if you have sausages that you really like.

Good idea.

I have made them before with skinned and flattened out sausages, but so much more authentically dirty with these.

Nothing fancy.

Scrambled eggs on toast.

The simple pleasures.

Have you been playing with the white balance? Why do the eggs have such a green tinge? eek

I haven't.

I can't see the green tinge. Maybe I am colour blind.

redface apologies then sir, perhaps it's my monitor. It shows particularly near the toast, but overall the eggs seemed to be on the green side of yellow as opposed to a golden yellow. I will have a fiddle with my monitor colour temperature settings.

Regardless, that's just a fraction on the loose side for me.

Scrambled eggs considering such a simple dish is such a hard one to get right. Even worse if you are feeding more than one and they all want it done differently, world of pain.

Those are eggs is how I like mine. I add water to them to stop them getting like lumps of rubber.

The key to good scrambled eggs is slow cooking. Cooked slowly you can achieve the perfect consistency and cook them thoroughly. Those look good but maybe v slightly under.

I add a small amount of water - I find it lightens the egg mixture smile

At 3 for a quid I live on these things during the week. Breakfast doesn't get cheaper and more convenient.

This is my thinking. I know Sunday should be more extravagant, but I bought them a while back to take to work, except my kids ate them. So I bought some more and thought I'd try one this morning.

It ended up being shared...
