Why Do People Photo Their Meals?

It could mean that more people discover the food and drink section, I for one have had my interest raised in the section, I also can see a certain merit in photographing special meals, My original stance was one of ill considered dismay that such a thing goes on but logic and reason have won me over.
I remain a non-foody, I am not really interested in food like some but I can see the attraction and reasoning when the comparison to my love of cars is made, I do photograph my fleet and post the pics on forums, I admit it, Its not food but as someone said earlier, "each to his own"
Sorry Blib, I know it was your rant but the more i look at this the more i am inclined to live and let live.
Look at it as an education, take something away from the experience and let the diversity enrich you.

Funnily enough I went to the PH meet at Manor Barn and people where just standing around taking pictures of boring old cars when there was a bloody BBQ going and nobody took pictures of that
If only I had my camera with me! You couldn't even drive the cars, but you could eat the burgers.

Don't mention that. I had my name on the list & had to scratch 'coz my dog was ill overnight.
I hate the Food & Drink section.
I wouldn't start taking pics of food in a restaurant, but I don't see the problem when it's something you've created yourself. Why not have a bit of pride in it?

Blib, the next set of ingredients haven't been decided on yet, but keep an eye on this thread and they'll be out soon, I'm sure.
