Just brought a cheap one from Argos - Cookworks Panini Press. Argos had it listed as £30 in it's new catalogue, but came up for £15 on the system, so I brought it thinking I was getting a deal. Google throws it up as £15 so never mind!

Anyway I've got it back and it's scratched and marked, so i'll be taking it back.

This has got me thinking. Do I spend more money and get a decent one as I do love the ciabatta.

A few ones I've found:

Russell Hobbs 10810 Glass Panini Press

Breville Cafe Style Panini Press - VST022

Those who have one, is it worth a recommendation?

We do ours in the George Foreman grill, one of the very few things I like it for.

We got a brilliant one from Aldi a while back. Under £20 and it's massive, so you can do three at once and the floating hinge design means you don't crush them beyond recognition. Worth popping into Aldi if you've got one local and seeing if they have any about.
