Looking to fit out a new deli cafe I'm opening and was wondering whether anybody on here knows of any catering equipment auctioneers, restaurant liquidators (there must be a plethora in the current economic market), or good and not too expensive equipment suppliers. Any leads greatly appreciated.

Really don't know if there any good but for some reason I get their catalogue periodically, and always have a read through.

Ebay isn't as bad as you might think if you are careful.

What sort of things are you after? Brakes aren't bad sometimes if you want new and catch them doing a special. Nisbets are also okay but have a lot of the cheap Buffalo stuff which doesn't last long if mistreated. You can normally play Brakes and Nisbets off against each other. For second hand just ring any local auction house and they'll know who is the best place closest to you.

I would start calling around the local auction houses. Most will sell second hand catering equiment and may have dedicated days just to used catering equipment. Ebay is very good and also keep an eye out in the local ad-trader / yellow paper type places - they normally bring up some cheap bargains.

My 'In-Laws to be', supply and deck out kitchens and restaurants. They have done quite a few in the Whitechappel area recently for cafe style restaurants. If interested let me know what you are looking for and can pass on details for you.
