Perhaps the secret is to choose a tin large enough such that one can get in and paddle to safety in it?

One of those steamed syrup sponge puddings in a tin would do lick

If not, a lot of my whiskys come in a decorative tin packaging - does that count? wink

Thank you for that quote from the funniest book ever written!

I believe I could survive for many a day with limitless baked beans. In fact, when SWMBO goes away with her school for a week my son's and I do!

Mind you.....tinned peaches........fruit salad.........there are soooo many!

That is hilarious! !

I think it would be beans and sausages too. What is it in them sausages that give the bean juice that "special flavour"....? Second thoughts, best not to know. :-)

Or maybe corned beef.....?

Heinz tomato soup.

I dunno what it tastes of, but it's not tomatoes.

But oh, so delicious. Hot or cold.

Ooh, I've thought of another one... instead of sitting there waiting to be rescued, open a can of Surströmming and the stink will make you leave the island and swim home.
