My sister was moaning about the apparent disappearance of Golden Wonder Sausage and Tomato crisps last night and it got me thinking, what is the finest flavour of crisps known to man?

Roast Chicken (specifically Walker's) is not on your list.

These are the finest crisps

Gah, I knew I'd miss one, there's only so many options you can put.

Marmite too is missing.

Ham & Mustard, but not any old Ham & Mustard, oh no. It has to be Brannigans ham and mustard, which were so strong you broke out in a sweat. Having said that I'm not sure you can get them any more. I certainly haven't seen them on sale for a long time.

Worcester Sauce was my favourite.

However, I tried some recently and they seemed weak in comparison to the ones I remembered as a child.

Where did it all go wrong?

For differnt crisps a different flavour is king:

French Fries - Worcester Sauce
Monster Munch - Pickled Onion
Wheat Crunchies - Worcester Sauce
Standard Walkers style crisp - Oooh now this is more tricky, close between S&V, C&O and Smokey Bacon...?
New Fangled Sensations style crisps - Balsamic Vinegar
Kettle Chip - Salt and Black Pepper
Crinkle Cut Crisps - Salt and Vinegar
Pringle Style Crisp - Cream cheese and Chive or Paprika

This was harder than it seemed wink

I'm going to use this poll as evidence for every vending machine filler I come across for the rest of my life. I've been saying for years that they need to have two racks of S&V but would they listen?

Wrong, the sweet chilli Sensations are by far the best of that range.

My vote went for Worcester Sauce. I also like sweet chilli, ready salted and prawn cocktail ones.

Surprised by the voting so far - Salt & Vinegar getting a lot of votes.

Not sure if you can get them 'darn Sarff' but I do have a hankering for Seabrook Cheese and Onion.

I'm surprised that prawn cocktail yuck is outflanking roast chicken.

As previously mentioned, Walker's roast chicken. King of crisps.

Nandos Hot Peri Peri. Enough to moisten the brow and quicken the pulse.
