It does look great MC, and it does sleep 14, which I would have thought would be about the number interested in going.

My thoughts ( rather than have cactussed do all the cooking) even though he might want to is that whoever attends has to do one course. Isn't that the idea? If it's a weekend, then we'll need breakfast, lunch and dinner - so quite easily spread amongst us. The dish allocated responsiblity for, we would have to source all the ingredients needed.

I'd love to cook a meal one night, but the rest of the time we can allocate.
Besides, I would expect a fair amount of talk / chat centred around the kitchen anyway, so its not like whoever is in there will be slaving away on their own?

It doesn't have to be that house either, I only suggested it because I've been there and know how nice it is.

website for the cottage suggests its only available by the week from april onwards. worth a punt though at that price.

I'm OK with a week let as well, I have certain dates to avoid, but not that big a deal - has anyone checked whether the place has available dates or is booked up yet?

The Vrynlyn website says it's available all of May. Though I think later rather than earlier - this being Wales, it will be cold / wet.

It wasn't when I was there in mid-May, but I just think we got lucky.

NB: At least one of the rooms is a twin from what I remember, so I don't mind sharing.

a week is out for me but a weekend could be good depending on when it is, so i won't confirm 'til i see more details [note to self, need to buy a car to actually get there!].

will be solo and don't ask for much other than sleeping bag & hammock/sofa!

Ah. Potential fly in the ointment with this particular place is that changeover is on Saturday. I'll phone in the morning and ask.

Previously I stayed there for a wedding in the area, and I'm sure the house was taken for the long weekend, arriving on Thursday and leaving on Sunday. Let me check.
