Great pub - 15 miles of Basingstoke

I've checked the wiki, but nothing hits the mark.

Can anyone recommend a nice country pub (with grub) within 10-15 miles of Basingstoke for tomorrow?

Hello, you really ought to try The Woolpack Inn. It is in a place called Northington, just outside of Alresford so should be close enough. It used to be just your average country pub for local people, but I believe the Heineken family bought it, spent a whole heap of money on it and now it is really very nice. Excellent food, really friendly and helpful staff, nice decor, picturesque location, the lot.

We left home at 8, so only just checking in now.

We've stopped at the Anchor Inn in Yateley; got a good review on beerintheevening, so will see if that's the case.

The Lord Derby, north of Bstoke next to Sherfield would get my vote - not sure about the exact distance, though
