I have been looking for a frying pan and pot to use on the BBQ after watching this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_VmcRjV2y4
I hate the bit when he says "can you smell that? it smells gooooood". Well of course I can't smell it its a video.

All my frying pans have plastic handles and my casserole pots are pyrex (apart from the Le Cruset one, that the BBQ would fit inside) Where can I find stuff to use on a BBQ in the UK

This site has some suitable stuff but not sure if they ship to the UK

Clay pots. Highly recommended. Take a while to get hot, but perfect for the job. That and an bog standard trad whistle kettle, because no brew tastes as good as one made with water off the bbq kettle. Try it if you don't believe me!

TK Maxx is good for cheap pots and pans.

Or you could treat yourself to some Le Creuset. I have this one, though I'd imagine that at only 20cm diameter, it would be too small for you. wink

My immediate thought would be to use some of the Kit we have for the Scouts.

A look at Glasgow Scout Shop shows "Black Iron Pans" as described in the clip.

10"/14"/16" = £10/£20/£25 each + postage

we get good use out of ours at camps on open fires and they're not that bad to clean (the kids even do it). They are very heavy but do tend to keep the heat in them very well. their thickness seems to make it harder to burn stuff on unpredictable temperatures with unpredictable cooks!

I could be tempted to try one as the size I am looking at is under £10
I have emailed the US site to see if they ship to the UK.

Got to be cast iron to bung on a BBQ or an open fire I would have thought. Le Crueset is nice, but at the price, I wouldn't want to smoke one up like that. The American pan/skillet/lid combo looks great, just need to find that sort of thing in the UK.
