You can get goat from most halal butchers (well around here anyway) you can also order it from your local traditional style butcher.

i live in a rural location and if any halal shop sold round here I am sure the locals would be upset, this is reason i am looking on-line.

I'm sure this is a potential can of worms, but why would anyone get excited about a Halal butcher?

Because of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQOKQ__3vQw&fea... Not Suitable for kids or picky eaters vegetarians.
Think it's french language but the video gets the message across pretty well. Starts off with the 'western' bolt gun method of slaugher then shows the (very) bloody Halal method.

I know how Halal works (I lived in the East End of London for 15 years!)I just don't get why any country folk would have an issue with a Halal butcher - throat slitting is no worse for the animal, and more importantly for the taste of the meat, than the pretty foul methods we use in commercial abattoirs. I'm also a little confused as to why it was the first thing that the OP thought of instead of 'I don't live near a Halal butcher'.

if you want me to say what you are egging to hear, I live in an area without a significant Muslim population for 15 miles, and generally people that live here are Christian. This means that any sort of halal butcher would a: have no customers, and b generally not in keep with other shops in the local area..

Can we please just get back to the question and not some racial witch hunt..

Oh I am Muslim too before you say anything..

Muslim is not a race. 'Egging to hear' is not English. Have you looked at the link I posted? Oh, and there is no such verb as 'to in keep'.

Thanks for link but as I mentioned before I am all looking for word of mouth.

Hopefully somebody else might be able to answer my question.

I'd suggest you forget religion. Not only is it unnecessary in the 21st century, but being religion-free makes life infinitely easier and more simple.

There. Now with that hurdle cleared, you can buy any kind of goat meat smile
