When are the pictures of all the food going up?!
What food? I vaguely remember a lot of alcohol but there wasn't that much food. Cotty and I made a curry one night and we had a couple of BBQs but I have an overriding memory of being hungry and hungover for most of the time there.

I too was hoping that we were going to be witnessing a weeks worth of photos showing pared-back masterchef culinary delights. It seems as though a few may have inadvertantly overdone the Gin and cucumber!
Has there been any foraging or fishing? Locally sourced does not mean persuading someone to go to the local store 10 miles away.
Sounds like you're all having a great time though.
Have fun

Back (finally) having left at 5-ish. Whatever possessed me to think that a 106.9dB exhaust setup was a good idea? Not on top of a weapons-grade hangover it isn't: lots of Red Bull stops and Nurofen top-ups.
Thanks to everyone for making it such a fun week. I'm especially grateful to those who pulled out all the stops to bring or make the unusual:
- Mr and Mrs SVX, who brought lots of different types of boerewors, biltong, and SA wines I'd never heard of, let alone tried
- Mrs Dupont666, who made Finnish cardamom doughnuts (great hangover cure), and salmon and cheese soup (another great hangover cure)
- Condor, who brought an amazing collection of wines and spirits, including some that even a hardened old soak like myself had never heard of, let alone tried
- Balmoral Green, who brought another amazing collection of spirits, all home made
The amount of alcohol consumed rather explains why there aren't more 'food' pics. However we did tick the 'local' box by buying Welsh whisky and gin.
We must 'try' and be a bit more organised for the next one.

I just got back, with a nice naughty speed wafting along an empty M4 (not as bad as BG, but it ate up most of a tank in the process) - totally nackered, and have to be up bright and early for a day of motorcrossing.... That was a fun week, maybe I'll manage to post something more insightful when my brain starts functioning again (tonight it isn't drink related for a change!)
I had the place to myself last night, and left 10am this morning. Surprisingly it took me just less than 5 hours, so I think the Saturday route was better than the Friday night run you others took
Had a great time, did lots of sightseeing that I really enjoyed Welsh Botanic Gardens one day, Pendine Sands and motor museum...plus coastal walk the next. Thursday had us exploring Carreg Cennen Castle, Brecon Beacons National Park and then a tour of the Penderyn distillery Friday saw us at Dylan Thomas's boathouse and then a look round Tenby.
Really enjoyable week away, I've got some pics to sort out...and will post them later

I got held up by a serious RTA and was stationary for ages. The rest of the M4 was on and off 50mph due to roadworks. Is there a different M4 I could have used?I ended up being too early to stop at my dad's on the way back so dropped to 55mph and started slipstreaming trucks. I did 3/4 of a tank on the way back as opposed to the full tank on the way down, but I had less alcohol in the car on the return trip

Pleased you had a safe & steady run home. My Friday night run home was great, I almost had the M4 and the M50 to myself, and by the time I hit the M5 North and onto the M42 they were quiet too. I got back home in 2 hours 45 minutes to my own bed and toilet seat
The company, sightseeing and drink was good. Next time, how about we do some foodie stuff too?
I must be one of many who has watched this trilogy, good to see it has turned out well. Such projects can be difficult to blossom to fruition, so good for those who stuck it through and had a good time.
Here's some links to quirky and interesting places to stay for a holiday period....

I've only experience of Lundy,(which is brilliant) but some interesting places if some want to go for it.

I also took quite a few pics...here's a selection
After our coastal path walk, pub lunch...Cotty, BG and Smack tuck in
My paella arrives some time later
BG getting our full English sorted
Carreg Cennen Castle that we explored
Tasting room at Penderyn distillery
Now a feel-good post I found an abandoned little lamb close to death Friday morning, so brought it back to the house. We fed it warm milk using an empty Penderyn miniature bottle and a middle finger from a spare Marigold glove. Little lamb looks a lot happier now
