Chicken marinade recipes
Discussion
i bought some chicken thighs for the bbq the other night, didnt have loads of time on my hands so got the magimix out, put most of a basil plant it it stalks and all, lemon zest, lemon juice, loads of garlic cloves, salt cracked pepper, good olive oil. buzzed it up to a smooth luminous paste and marinaded the thighs in it (i slashed them across the skin first too), made them a lovely colour once bbq'd and they tasted awesome. i didnt have any, but some green chilli would have been nice in there too!
a simple one that but very effective.
im also a huge fan of tandoori on chicken, especially when bbq'd. hope that helps.!

lots of natural yogurt
tablespoon of tumeric
lots of fresh coriander
garlic
ginger
onions
salt
mango chutney
paprika
chilli powder
fresh chillies finely chopped
agree with a previous poster about putting slashes in the meat.
i usually put the whole lot in large freezer bags and let it marinate overnight
might have forgotton something but most of it is there
works just as well with lamb steaks
did this for a bbq at friends a few weeks ago and it went down very well

i did a similar thread last halloween. Try Teriyaki chicken (try steak too). I did a search on the net found about 6 versions and used about 7 of the reoccuring ingredients in a homebrew marinading style. Roughly, soy sauce, orange juice, fine chopped chilli, fine chopped ginger, crushed garlic, brown sugar and honey. thats off of the top of my head, but i cut up the breast in to slivers(so they cook quick) put on soaked sticks and marinaded over night. Not even joking best chicken i ever had
