Can anyone please recommend a non stick wok. My current Typhoon wok is shot. The coating has come away after only 4 months of use. Doesnt matter on size just either. Thanks

Aye... this be the way forward...

Though I stopped this method a while ago when the plebs in my house decided it was dirty and kept scrubbing the season off it... with a brillo pad

I am not a huge cook, just cook regular curries and stir frys. I cant be arsed seasoning etc. Just want a decent non stick wok.

Le Creuset does the job. It's a pan, not really sure what more I can say hehe

I had a circulon one that was pretty good. However, it's hand wash only or the PTFE comes off.

As much as I would love a proper wok, you need a gas flame to get the best from them, so I too have to have a non-stick flat-bottomed one. It's a Le Creuset and does the job well, though wasn't cheap. The secret with all non-stick stuff is not to let it get too hot - nothing like as hot as you can get a proper wok.

Takes 10 minutes to season one properly, which is less time than it will take for you to buy another inferior product in four months' time!

Is there a recommended chinese superstore in Central London/West End where I too can purchase a reasonably priced wok thingy?

Yes, Wing-yip stores are everywhere, can also order online. www.wingyip.com

But even occasional stir fryers can ensure after they have cooked to wipe the pan down with kitchen roll, and not wash, to provide continued seasoning.
