A pint of wine yikes. That would mean I would drink it as fast as a pint, and things would get messy very quickly.

Given you've got at least 6 hours before anything definitive is known (why on earth do people stay up?), then you might as well go to bed

Interesting to compare BBC and itv. The latter have more results somehow, so maybe they will be able to call it first

feel sorry for those in the queues. They only had 15hours to vote

Why the fk would you stay up anyway? Why does it matter? just find out who has won control of the playground in the morning when you get up.

Sad bds.

Ok Gallo a bit chavy but I though most wines, of all prices, are screw top?

Non.

Nooooooo! The argument for a screw top is only for wines of limited shelf life i.e. mostly cheap. It's a cost factor, although there are some good wines with screw tops. For example, living in a wine area, all our local sales are in 1l bottles with a screw top, because of the very short bottle life (consumption not poor wine quality), but all the vintners also fill a corked .7l bottle for the people furtehr away....
If you love wine, you also love the cork (although the %age of corked wine may be higher) as the cork is the natural product, and if it can seal a good bordeaux for 35 years (as are some in my cellar) then it can't be wrong.

BTW Gallo fractionates wine which is IIRR illegal in the EU. Fractionating is effectively cracking it, like crude oil, to reduce it to its component parts and then remix it to an all pervasive same-taste maxi-market glug! (which effectively means all grapes including all the sub-standard sh 1 t, can be and is used!!)

No self respecting vintner will ever fractionate wine as this makes it lose its individuality.... and that is what wine is all about IMHO.. mind you the resident park winos might disagree with that!

I just disagree with wine in general, it tastes like piss.

Give me a good bourbon or single malt any day.

I know! In the end i drank the lot, was sleepy, and went to bed. No dodgy bottom in the morning and no hang over so all is well.

Good God man chill out, you are a total wine snob, if it tastes nice screw top or cork then its fine, most people would prefer a £12 Kumala wine box than a £15 bottle of over priced French wine that they import to us as a good 'Bordeaux'.

Not all cheap wine is crap but a lot of expensive French wine is.
