Anything from Mc D's, Bugger King, Wasabi (was thinking spicy chicken and rice??) any other?
Ocassional McD's chicken burger or two will do you no major harm. Give a miss to those fries though. Could put 2 burgers into 1 bun = less carbs.
Their salads menu dressings are full of calories.
Honestly, McD's salad dressing aren't fatty and don't have hundreds of calories... I think they may have been worse a few years back and the urban myth has stuck, but they really aren't bad for you anymore! http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/food/nutrition/nutritio... <- Have a look at McD's nutritional info - it should give a better idea of what their menu will do to your waistline!
Interesting link - that new Chicago burger is just under 700 calories yikes
A "spicy veggie" sandwich is 555 calories: yikes

Drink Vodka instead of Rum.
Here is a rule of thumb - the clearer the alcohol, the less calories it has.

The best and cheapest way to get drunk with the fewest calories, is straight alcohol in the form of rum, vodka, gin etc. because it has no added calories from sugar, hops, barley etc.

Pairing the hard liquor (like rum) with diet coke isn't a bad idea though.
Red wine is supposed to be good too. In small regular quantities it's said to prevent everything from cancer to heart disease. beer

I can report that as a direct result of his thread, I just eated a large chicken shish, with salad and pitta, garlic sauce and twelve pickled chilis.

Get in.

I've been telling my OH for years that a grilled chicken kebab, loads of salad, pitta and lashings of chili sauce was healthy - she's never agreed.

It is, right? You're not pulling my leg? I can have a chicken kebab for dinner this evening without guilt?

That's fresh chilli sauce, used only at quality kebab establishments.

You'd be surprised at the number who use pre-prepared stuff that comes in buckets and is re-heated.

That can contain all sorts, including things like cooking oil, etc

And salt, that is often a killer in mass produced food.

hehe

It it healthy, the sauce would dictate how unhealthy it would become. As mayo is terrible for you.

Is it working?

Or d'you still generate your own gravitational field, sucking in children and small animals?

wink

I'm with the chicken shish suggestions. The lamb shish option can be good too, but tends to be a touch fattier.

Don't buy chips, avoid sauces. My local place does its chicken nicely marinated, and as such a sauce only ruins the whole thing.

Not the cheapest fast food, but definitely the best option healthwise for late nigh snacking after the beers.

Do not, however, get druink on a date and drag her into said kebab shop in the way home, and have the staff greet you like a long lost friend. Sends out the wrong message, I was informed.

To be fair, she's never stopped me and the feeling of guilt always came from me thinking it was unhealthy...

Guess what I'm having for dinner tonight boys and girls!?

'Healthy' junk food is like low-alcohol Bollinger. What's the point?

So long as you don't eat like that every day, I don't see the harm in the occasional indulgence. Lamb shawarma with all the sauces, and obscene amounts of pickled chillies for me, please.
