Best curry in Birmingham

Well I'd recommend Lasan in St Paul square:
www.lasangroup.com/restaurant
And Asha's in the city centre:
www.ashasuk.co.uk
These are probably the "best" two that I know of, superb quality.
cheers.

Nah, I wouldnt recommend going to Shimlah Pinks anymore, its poop compared to the other two. Also, the Alfrash in Sparkhill is fab:

If you fancy somewhere completely different, Cafe Tamarinds (a few minutes drive from the airport, in Balsall Common) is very good. Gets a very occasional visit from Gordon "fking" Ramsay as well.
http://cafetamarinds.com/
The Spice Merchant in Kings Heath also used to be extremely good, but I haven't visited in 4 or 5 years. It's still open though.

I'm going to Lasan on Tuesday for a work thing so we're having the banquet menu and I'm really looking forward to it.
Also going to be going to Itihaas on Fleet Street which I've heard is excellent, for a birthday later on in the month.
And just in case anyone's in the area, I had a takeaway from Dilkush on Pershore Road in Stirchley the other week for something cheap and cheerful - any starter, any main course and any nan or rice for £6.50. Granted, it's a case of 'hear no evil, see no evil' when you look at the place - but it was really good! I was really very surprised!
Hope the OP has a great meal - and reports back!

Have a look at the website. It shows a picture of a local footballer, who is apparently a regular customer. He looks pissed and judging by the expression of the waiter next to him he has been racially abusing the staff.Footballers - got to love them.

Spot on, he does!
I was going to recommend Shimla Pinks but I haven't been there in at least 10 years (don't live in Birmingham anymore) so it might well have gone downhill. Shame, the TV screens in the urinals were always a laugh.
