As the weather is fine, we have just enjoyed a mini barbecue of chili chicken wings and 97% pork sausages.

looks good but got to agree with the above poster. Salad is what you feed food.

Chicken wings are a little fiddly to eat and not a lot of meat on them

Looks good though thumbup

yes and she does a petite 1 or 2 pieces whilst Mr P has a pile of bones higher than at a cannibal's works christmas party. biggrin

Looks very nice, salad is fine with sticky stuff just to clean the palate. I'm doing mine today as it is sunny and I have the day off work, I'm going to be doing ribs. Hope Pferd doesn't mind me putting my pictures on here.

Use beer to clean the palette. Feed the green stuff to the food pre-slaughter. Ok, maybe a couple of greens on a burger is forgivable. BBQ is the perfect atkins diet companion biggrin

with some mustard on .. yummy.

I've decided to compliment today's rib BBQ with a world cup of beer.

6lb of ribs for the fans and first match is England v Scotland ( yes, for once they get to a final ... tongue out )

;) Genuine question though, because it seems the air has been smelling of barbies for a month or more. Not so much during the brief cold spell but it was warm in early April.

I'm also doing my "first" (not counting the get together) this weekend, got some interesting looking Bury black pudding pork sausages along with the obligatory Boerewors. I quite fancy some ribs though... and some Caribbean style chicken thighs. Now to convince SWMBO that I really really need a new BBQ....

hehe Me too. Any excuse. I think it'll be 7 out of 7 this week.

Popped out to the butchers earlier and picked up a couple of racks of ribs, knocked up a rub a moment ago and it's now in the fridge ready for later.

Job, jobbed.

Just buy it. As they say, tt is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Besides, she is a Saffa, so she should understand. smile

A friend is picking me up some onglet steak from Borough Market today.

That's going to become carne asada, with a mango salsa accompanying.

Mango salsa

1 ripe mango, finely diced
1/2 a red onion, finely diced
1 green chilli, finely diced
lime juice
pinch of sugar
chopped fresh coriander

Weather is too good today not too! I think will have to nip down the road to the garden centre for more charcoal! And tomorrow is a mates wifes birthday, which is a BBQ. So that leaves Sunday.....

Ribs are looking good there snaily smile

We're BBQ grilling outdoors tonight. But it's only a couple of gammon steaks.

Might get the smoker out tomorrow and smoke some tenderloin of pork. Mmmmmm.
