Spotted these yesterday, and wondering about giving them a go on my Weber. Anyone have any thoughts on cast iron grates vs standard steel ones?
I've found that following the Amazing Ribs website I've never gone wrong - and he waxes lyrical about the disadvantages of cast iron, so never gone there...Must be said, I do like the thought of nice clean grill marks, yet the steaks I have cooked the way AR recommends are some of the nicest tasting I've ever had, so...
Anyone have any experience with the 'baby' 37cm WSM?
We've just booked a camping holiday for early August, and I've been put in charge of tent, sleeping and eating. Everything is pretty much sorted except the cooker. Got a Camping Gaz stove we bought last year to cook on whilst our house was refurbed, but don't really want to base a week's cooking for four on that.
Thinking i could fairly easily use it to grill, stew, roast or smoke a full meal most days for me, OH and two young kids? A lot of forum comments imply that it runs out of space for parties, but then I've also got my weber kettle, and two 5-6lb pork shoulders seem to feed plenty!

Christening the smoker this weekend so I'm back from the butchers with my pork shoulder and spatchcock chicken. Early start tomorrow getting the pork on with a very long wait to follow but should be worth it.
Will be using a simple dry rub of paprika, brown sugar, onion powder and cayenne pepper. Maple chips for the smoke.
Will try and remember to post pics.
Tonight we're having some minced lamb/mint kebabs. I'm cheating though...No prep..just going to mould some lamb burgers on skewers.

Anyone in the UK use a Looftlighter? I ordered one but it did not seem to work so sent it back, just received a replacement and same issue. Says 230V but plugged in via an adapter as its a Euro style 2 pin plug, push the button and nothing. £50 wasted.
I got mine from Amazon ( here...) and it's been perfect Maybe your adapter is faulty?
