Waiter, waiter! There's a caterpillar in my lettuce!
Discussion
I was making sandwiches for my girlfriend to take to work and I noticed a brown curled up thing slowly come to life....was a caterpillar! Now it would not surprise me to find them dead in the lettuce seeing as it was in the fridge, but it surprised me that it was still alive
On further investigation I found a second live caterpillar, and lots of what I assume is caterpillar st on the lettuce leaves (looks like miniscule well-cooked mince meat )
So I currently had two caterpillars growing in my Carte D'or tub with some lettuce to keep them fed But are they supposed to be able to survive at near 0*C temperatures? Surely it would have killed them?
What's the strangest thing you have found in your food? (although I doubt much could beat the customer at a chinese in Oldbury who found a pet-chip in her meat )
