Although it pisses me off when people just stand there staring at the machine as if if were the bridge of the Enterprise, with all those "complicated" buttons.

None of them.

Coffee is the most disgusting thing you can find in a cup. And that includes the cup the famous "2 girls" use!

None of those places makes anything that could be remotely described as good coffee. Walk into any street cafe in Italy and you can get an amazing cup for about 50p, yet in the UK you can pay £3+ and still get absolute garbage yuck

Totally agree.

Some of the old-fashioned Italian family-run places in London just about cling on by their bootstraps, however extortionate rent and business rate increases have all but forced these out.

And domino's...DOMINO'S..call that pizza, load of rubbish, you can get a far better pizza in Naples for only 7p.

I do agree though, £3 does seem a bit money for nothing but hey, it keeps me awake when I need to and I mostly enjoy the taste! Costa it is for me.

If you use a regular cup in the self serve machines they never fill to the top which is a rip off. Still using a regular cup select large. It will fill to the top, and some, then you put a lid on and pay just a regular price. See, the great coffee swindle right there in your cup, lol.

i agree with the womble, its better coffee than much of the high street and in locations where you don't have the choice to go to a cafe instead.

i don't rate starbucks at all, average brew at silly prices. cafe Nero was the one I used to go to 5-6 years ago when it was 1.50-2quid a cup but they're just as bad these days.

one day I will own a proper plumbed in coffee machine. till then I'll make do with mainlining it into my veins smile

As a added extra has anyone got a Nespresso machine, had one for a couple of years now and the coffee choice is amazing!

I agree with the comments about Italy too, my favourite holiday destination, they would never in a million years drink Costa, Nero etc! especially in the size we do.

Costa or Nero if I can get them. They deliver their drinks with consistent flavour and quality.

On the other hand, Starbucks can't deliver the same drink in the same place, made by the same "Barista" and get it to taste the same.

I will have a coffee in any place that serves coffee if need a coffee. But I prefer Costa and Nero. They also have a decent loyalty program.

I just go where the wife wants for coffee boxedin but try to avoid starbucks at all costs as generally sitting in a McDonalds car park amongst all the s***te is generally preferable and cleaner than many "starbucks caffs" from loads of experience irked

confused

So you read the thread title, saw that the thread was about coffee, and decided to tell us all that you don't like coffee?

How odd.

Anyway, Nero's espresso is rather good.
