I am sitting here with an Apple Pie cake in the oven and the smell is devine,pastry,apple,cinnomon and cooking sugar.
what are your favourite cooking smells ?

Really good chicken stock bubbling on the stovetop. The smell of 'home'.

In fact: Bacon. Smelt whilst inside a tent, waking up and knowing it's being cooked up for you outside.

Good call there Don - just about makes camping tolerable!

As said before, for me it's bread just brought out of the oven.

Banana bread baking is a good one.
Its hard to beat slow-fried, caremelised onions either, especially once a splash of red has gone in.

Most certainly do!

Gormeh sabzi is perhaps my favourite of all dishes. Bloody time consuming to prepare and cook, though.

Being the lazy sod I am, I usually just head for a Persian restaurant when I need a fix.
