There will always be people who criticise others for eating meat.

That same guy, I guarantee, would criticise people for eating steak, pork, chicken and especially rabbit because they are cute too.

Why not use a virtually limitless natural resource like squirrel? Only because modern folk are sentimental in a dumb and unhelpful way our ancestors were not.

I'd eat Squirrel, nothing wrong with it in my view.
Anyone got any first hand 'reviews' on the taste.

I'm really quite keen to try squirrel, but haven't had the chance yet. Should try harder this autumn to achieve this!

They are lovely! very tasty indeed! they can be a bit dry and tough if they are old, but if they are your and cooked quick in some butter and hazelnut oil, with a few mushrooms and surved with some mash and seasonal greens they are MMMMMMM!

That sounds super tasty. Only thing is we don't have any grey squirrels up here yet, otherwise I would be out trying to catch some (if I was at home).

Still sounds yummy though....
