Clown icon because my OH is one hehe

Some weeks ago she decided to buy some veggie and herb seeds and grow them on our balcony. Everything's going really well and we've already eaten home grown lettuce, some cherry tomatoes and basil smile

Still waiting for the courgettes, beans and... oh wait, no idea what the other two things are! The seed packets are long gone and she cannot remember what she bought rolleyes

So, can you guys take a butchers at these photos and enlighten us please?!

Bigish long leaves, looks like a cross between rocket and some kind of lettuce?

She thinks this one is a herb but it doesn't look familiar. Nice little flowers started growing very recently:

Well, Silent1, we haven't tried them yet so you could still be right smile

Jessica - Thanks for your sensible reply wink Had a bit of a sniff of the rockety one this evening and I think you're right. As for the possible tarragon; it doesn't smell of aniseed at all so is still a bit of a mystery...

Spinach and tarragon, by the look of them.

A quick taste would probably be helpful.

Spinach grows far taller and has triangluar leaves

it's a rocket but don't know which one, there's over 70 varieties

the second is tarragon, look after it, keep harvesting it and it'll last for a few years

Top one looks like sorrel to me - I grow it in my garden
Taste a small section of leaf (raw)
If it has a pleasant tangy lemon flavour, it's sorrel.
If not, then I'd guess rocket.

They are all leaves, so it doesn't matter. Just use them as a garnish to some real food... i.e. MEAT!
