Has he ever cooked anything without adding lemon juice and olive oil to it?
I think not.
Au contraire, mon ami!I think not.
If you don't like the man, that's another matter.
I can't help but feel that this makes most of his dishes taste of.... well, olive oil and lemon.

I hardly use olive oil in my cooking and when I do they are usually mild.
I use it in a lot of things I cook but like you say the mild sortA friend fries in sesame oil which burns very easily. he likes the taste.

I have nothing against him per c'est,
I'm here to balance that...If I ever meet him, I'll pull his head off and feed it to a dog...
Gently, mind...
You've gone and done it now, my lad...
I think he's a genuine guy - After watching him speak at TED (great site by the way!) I even felt a little pinch of pride!

Lemon juice and olive oil is the only substance known to neutralise his saliva so his hand is forced a bit.
The "just finish with a drizzle of olive oil" line is a running joke in our house. I hate it when he cooks something that looks superb and then drowns it in fking olive oil. Fat tongued idiot. I do use lots of his recipes though
