Also around the Edinburgh are you get salt n sauce on your chips which is salt and watered/vinegared down chip shop brown sauce.
Which is bloody brilliant! lickbiggrin
Which is minging - dirty east coast habit.
First time I had a chippy in the west, and admittedly I was taking my life into my own hands, I was gutted that they didn't have sauce. I had just assumed everywhere did it. Dirty weejies.

I have never seen a deep fried mars bar to be honest, but deep fried pizzas are pretty common. Was gutted when living in London to find that fish and chip shops mainly sell fish and chips. My mate has a fish and chip shop here and fish makes up a third of his trade at most.

Do you get deep fried Scotch pies in England? They're nice.
Deep fried steak pie is really nice. he chippy down the road from me uses ones with puff pastry tops. lick
Yup, steak pie suppers and mince pie suppers are both good, in a massively unhealthy kind of way.
Steak pie supper with extra salt n sauce cloud9
