Got lots of leftover beef from yesterday's roast.

Question is, what to turn it into? Any ideas?

Slice thinly, layer up with thinly sliced onion, salt and pepper. Microwave until toasty and onion semi cooked. Cover with horse radish and put in between tow slices of nice buttered white bread.

Why not do what I do?

Wander into the kitchen - pick a bit out of the fridge - add salt - eat.

Repeat every 15 minutes/kitchen visit until all gone.

Was going to say get a proper metal mincer and make Cottage Pie. You cant beat the taste when its made from left over roast beef.

I do already have an electric mincer, so that's certainly a possibility...

Philly Cheesesteak of course!

Chop up beef and fry with onions, peppers, olive oil and a blob of mustard. When it's all sticky and caramelised open up a torpedo roll and tip in including all the juices. Top with grated cheese and stick under the grill 'til melted. Delicious!

NB - if you want it authentic, use 'American Cheese', the tasteless bright orange plastic stuff from Kraft. If you have any semblence of taste about you, use a decent mild cheddar or even gruyere.

This works for me too - in our house the recipe is known as "fridge to gob food".

I use leftover beef to make an oriental noodle soup for the two of us - Make up 500 ml of stock, cook up some noodles, and finely slice up some chillies, bean sprouts, sliced cabbage mange tout etc etc (use up what's useful in the fridge), and srping onions

Slice the beef thinly into strips - marinate in soy/teriaki sauce (optional)

In two large bowls, stack noodles, veggies, beef, then pour on V hot stock - which should warm through, if not slightly cook the veg.
