Try a Bajan hot sauce if you can get it, basically the same thing.
Alternatively have a go at making some! I make my own it’s just a blend of scotch bonnets, red chillies, onion, spring onion, white vinegar, turmeric and a little salt. I add a bit of honey but you can use sugar. Adjust the ingredients to taste, takes very little time to do just be sure to give your blender a bloody good rinse afterward. Stick it in some sterilised jars and it’ll keep in the fridge for ages. A colleague has kept a bottle of my last batch in his locker at work for a couple of months now and it’s still good, like you say great on eggs. Mix it 50:50 with mayo and have it with chips, bloody lovely.
i've had aunt mays bajan sauce in the past. I really like it! works well with meats/kebab/doner. although now its harder to find. I also find the bajan stuff has a slightly more mustardy flavour to it compared to this dunns river one.Alternatively have a go at making some! It does yeah I actually missed that off my ingredients list, I don’t really think it adds anything. I prefer the arse burning heat of the scotch bonnets to be at the forefront Motoring12345 said:
FYI - TKMAXX has a hot sauce section. You get some decent finds every now and again. They currently have an El Yucateco selection for 8.99.
Curses, I went in there today to see if they had any ridiculously bad trainers and didn't even think to look at foodstuffs.I did get this to fill a gap on the shelf though

Obviously not a chilli sauce as such but I have become seriously addicted to Chili Chrisp. I'm putting it on everything.
Heat, texture, MSG, oil to carry the flavour. Anyone who likes spice, get to the Chinese supermarket
Agreed. Lao Gan Ma (Old Godmother) is always in my larder.Heat, texture, MSG, oil to carry the flavour. Anyone who likes spice, get to the Chinese supermarket
Also Gochujang is a staple and can be used in many ways.....
Here's a simple recipe to make and jar your own sauce that you can add as much extra 'heat' as you like..............

I use it all the time as a base for Ramen.

I'm trying to find a cheaper version of this one that's supposedly from the Philippines, Chilli in oil but with loads of roasted garlic, its about £5 but a very small jar.Heat, texture, MSG, oil to carry the flavour. Anyone who likes spice, get to the Chinese supermarket
I but keep pondering the chilli crunch ones in the supermarket but its the roasted garlic that makes this one a bit "extra" - there must be a generic verison out there somewhere.

Wonder if a hot sauce with this in it will make it to these shores.

There were some available in the shop in Leeds yesterday when I went in, the main Hot Ones one (The Last Dab Experience) thats 91% was £45 a bottle so I resisted. The others were Ed's own Pucker Butt ones but they're a blend, Chipotle X Press was £18 a bottle, it's very runny though, Extra Mean Green is £15 and doesn't seem that hot. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-6713608...

Hopefully I'll get to try the 91% at some point, he might put it in one of the "Hot Ones Experience" events he runs.
I'd nipped in for a bottle of the limited edition Tubby Tom's " Tubbtegrity - For Those Who Fear Tubbmorrow" and more Germanos where I was promptly ripped off to the tune of £7.50 on the basis of short supply when it's still £3.99 at Hot Headz but then they want £6.99 postage so it's still cheaper unless you're buying in bulk.

Just following up - if anyone does want to try the "Last Dab Experience" pepper-X sauce the Chilli Shop in Leeds have confirmed it's included in their event next Wednesday at Cult Wing, that one is sold out now but presumably they'll feature it going forward so it's worth keeping an eye on the page.

I've done these a few times now and it's a good night but probably not something I'd do again just to try one sauce out of curiosity when I've had the others already but highly recommended for anyone that hasn't done it and is in the area though.

Two new ones today, this was 79p a go at Heron Foods, I've never been in one before but I've had an eye on this in Sainsburys for a bit but it was about £4.00 a bottle.
And this is a yearly special from Balefire that I fancied from the Chilli Shop...

I also tried a sample of Spicy Shark "Mako Snake" which is absolutely spectacular, definitely the next one to get once I have less on the go. Heaps of flavour and layers, a bit of a "curry" undertone due to the coconut milk and spices but way more going on.

All the foods, much to my wife's annoyance I grew my own chillies this year and am currently fermenting some to make some hot sauce.
Breakfast was cottage cheese on a bagel with Bhut Grinder on, lunch was the Kumana on scrambled egg (half a bottle, it's not as thick as I expected) and tonight was chicken with La Pimenterie Green Curry.
