A fairly comprehensive selection, my personal highlight being the dried chipotles kicking around at the back. Not strictly hot sauce, I realise, but possibly still worthy of inclusion.

Is that the Dave's Ghost Pepper Naga Jolokia I see there?

I tried it properly (rather than a tiny bit) for the first time tonight and given it's not exactly "the hottest, I'm a hard man" sauce out there I feel ashamed. I was struggling a bit and the inside of my nose still tingles, great comedown buzz though smile

Hopefully my tolerance will increase because I really like the flavour.

Home made Sambal Trasi yum

200 g/7 oz red and green chilies
2 tsp sea salt
3 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon trasi (shrimp paste or 2 tbsp dried shrimp)

juice of 1 lemon or lime

Peel garlic and chop coarsely. Top and tail chillies and rinse. Add all the ingrdients to a blender and blend to a puree. Transer to a clean jar and store in the refigerator. Keeps for up to 3 months.
yikes

Does sound nice though...
Smaller quantities can be made but this just fills a jar nicely.

This is my first PH post but it is my favourite subject......

I get all my sauces here - Pretty decent selection

http://www.hot-headz.com/

Furthermore, the Tabasco Chipotle sauce can be gotten in Fortnum & Masons (I brought some in Mexico and it really is good stuff)

Yep that's the stuff- it really only takes a few drops to man up a chili, or instant noodles etc. I used to have some Dave's 'Gourmet' also but used it in such small quantities that it eventually went bad. For my money, though, the ghost pepper Dave's is the one to go for. Absolutely blazing.

For sauces I go down the Blairs route using them mainly as additives to other sauces to give them the necessary "spike". The Blairs crisps are excellent!! I also buy their wing sauces too. Once had a bottle of Pure Cap (http://www.hot-headz.com/hot-sauce/Pure_Cap-911-3.html) but this turned out to be a little dangerous as my daughter used to experiment on her friends!!!

Some good offers in Asda at the moment, Holy Cow is 75p and Dave's is £3 for the Ghost Naga and £1.45 for the others, pretty decent range in there.

Dave's is kids stuff. I've recently got back from the states with quite a few, and have a lot more coming. Here's some of the fun ones...

3 of the tastier ones I've picked up.

In the states at the mo and enjoying the selection.

Current faves are:
Tiger sauce - mild and pretty sweet (not sticky like Thai sweet chili though), perfect for pizza crusts.
Crystal/Cajun Chef - both very mild, but super vinegary - drown pretty much everything I eat with these.

The super duper death sauces don't really do it for me - I like spicy, but some just seem to be spicy for the sake of it. For the majority of stuff I would rather go with fresh chilis and use the hot sauce more as an addition than an integral ingredient, but that's just me smile
