I love root vegetable crisps. I tend to make my own though as wary of buying shop sold bags due to the infectious mites that are prevalent and survive on the vegetables.
Do you have a source for this? I only ask because, on the face of it, I've never heard such waffle in my life...

Mites are on waffles now? OMG, there'll be a pancake weevil next.

Yes. Waffle mites are rife.

The source? My disturbed humour.

It was funny when it was in the lounge. It's a bit serious in here.

I nominate this as crap thread of the year so far. Unpleasant, OTT opening post - would you really spit in the poor woman's face? - followed by a page and a half of drivel.

L.F yes I would have spat in her face. Everyting I type on the internet is 100% true and reflects how I am in real life.

I was surprised at how little crisps were in the packet but it amused me as there really was so much wasted packaging. And I felt a bit guilty about asking for a carrier bag despite the shocking waste of packaging, which again I found amusing afterwards.

I apologise for making the worst thread of 2011, if you would be so kind as to post up what you want to read I'm sure we could all comply.

These crisps taste horrible. My parents are quite keen on them and have bought a few brands in the last few months- not liked a single one.

I would recommend trying some cassava crisps though, absolutely lovely. You can buy them from most indian shops. One of my favourite memories was stopping on the roadside in Mombasa and buying some freshly fried ones, adding chilli and lemon juice and eating whilst still hot!

You've got to the bottom of the mystery of the missing crisps - the mites ate them. The powder in the bottom of the packet isn't the flavouring, it's mite turds....lick

I may be stating the bleeding obvious here but isn't the nature of the packaging also designed to protect the contents from getting crushed? Still a slight con i admit!
