At least the OK Diners make proper milkshakes. Beats that's other well-known american chain re brit steak challenges there's always The Cattlemen's Association http://www.cattlemens.co.uk/ in Harrogate I've not been in a verrry long time I see the 72oz challenge still exists They also used to have the 48oz Burger challenge

To me that's where Diners Drive-ins and Dives eats Man vs Food for breakfast. All pretty much non chain places, non of these stupid challenges, there should be a road trip planner. Only problem they'd need to direct to a store mid route to buy a size up in trousers.

The Spruce Goose said: I love the program but i am starting to get worried he is going to die of a heart attack soon on TV. He seems to be getting fatter too..
My favourite is the pulled pork sandwiches and double dipped ones.. In the same boat, great viewing but worry for the guys health, his blood pressure must be through the roof

I watched the Hawaii episode where he had to eat 4lbs of pancakes - 4x14" pancakes with 2 large ladle scoops of blueberries per layer, with various syrups and butters laced all the way through it. In the end, the starchiness was killing him, so he ended up eating a side of bacon with it, the new flavour gave him a bit of a second wind but he still ended up running out of time about 2/3 of the way through the plate. He looked close to death!
I also saw the episode where he had to eat that huge Philly cheese-steak, didn't even look like he was trying, totally demolished it. A total contrast to the episode where he had to drink something ridiculous like 14 750ml Malt and ice cream shakes, they looked delicious but I can only imagine the hell that would unleash on your digestive system.

Wasn't that the one where he failed with a vengeance. Only time seen him puke. aiui he has given up "competitive" eating.

You'll be disappointed if one of them's the NASCAR Cafe at the Sahara where he did the burrito challenge - the Sahara and everything in it closed last year. You didn't miss much though, it was a dump. Went to the other one that featured in that episode (hash house I think) which wasn't bad. I've been to a few of the places Adam's visited during the course of the show, the best by far is Schmidt's Sausage Haus in Columbus, Ohio. My better half lives about an hour away from it, so it's become a regular as she's a big fan of anything German. Worst by a long stretch was the aforementioned nascar cafe.

I also really enjoy MvF. I have a real soft spot and hunger for smoked stuff. I LOVE the propper old school BBQ places featured. Smoked ribs are like Cocaine for me

aiui he has given up "competitive" eating. Yeah, he said that putting so much cold milkshake down was chilling the stuff in his stomach, causing it to stiffen inside him, which must have resulted in some major cramps. It was unpleasant to watch, it must have been terrible eating it. Though I still think they looked delicious and two or so would be an absolute treat. Not surprised he has given up competitive eating - he was getting fat and each one of those challenges looks like it would shorten your life expectancy!

mchoody said: Here we go porkers... http://www.thefoodproject.co.uk/uk-food-challenges...Which features the above mentioned Kestrel Inn as the first item, the 200oz steak... Fancy a breakfast? A tenner gets you this in Bristol. If that's a bit too slimline, then £15 gets you this in Norfolk. Bristol again, for the SuperScooby at £10. It weighs 3lbs and if you finish it the owner will give you a can of diet coke for free... Feeling very hungry now.....
