Saw the episode last night where Adam managed to eat (with some ease it has to be said!) a 72oz steak. THAT'S 4.5lbs OF MEAT I have a strange urge to travel to Amarillo Tx to try it Goodness knows what it does to your bowels though...

I've watched someone try the 72oz steak challenge when i went to that restaurant. It didn't look at all fun.

I reckon I could manage the Big Texan steak on it's own with no problem. It's the sides you have to eat that would kill me off - a baked potato, shrimp cocktail, salad and a roll.

There's a place in Pontypridd that does a 60 oz steak. I ate the steak completely. It was the serving bowl of chips that did me in Not sure if I'd attempt it again though - felt like crap after!

if you want to try something like that, your best bet is to try the 64oz steak challenge at Spur (bar and grill). its about £50+ if you can finish it within the hour, its free. regardless of win/lose, you get given a free T-shirt.
I could never imagine tackling one of those eating challenges. the regular meals they show on that programme are already big enough as it is! Seems somewhat insane that a slim, size 10/12 young lady is able to sit down to a 1lb burger, oozing with cheese, onion rings, and some fat steak chips.

There was a place I used to go to in Sydney called Ribs'N'Rumps (there place where people meat...) that had a 2kg and a 3kg steak challenge. If you ate the 2kg one within the time limits etc you got a 6-month membership to 'The Meat Club'. If you ate the 3kg version you got lifetime membership to the club plus your own, personalised steak knife - kept in a trophy case and presented with much fanfare whenever you went back... class!
Apart from that, the biggest i've done in a while was a 950g Prime Rib at Hawksmoor.

I've done the Spur challenge quite a few times. An easy way to get a free dinner if you ask me.

The Cow House at the XScape in Castleford do a 72oz for around £45 - the problem I see is that if I'm spending £45 and eating so much of something I want it to be the best I've ever tried. How likely are they to have fresh 72oz steaks on a daily basis and surely by the time you've even some of it the rest is cold? http://www.xscape.co.uk/castleford/concessions/cow...

Jesus, who saw the one in Sarasota where he was having a go at the hottest chicken wings? He only managed two then had to go and stand in the freezer.

I love the program but i am starting to get worried he is going to die of a heart attack soon on TV. He seems to be getting fatter too..
My favourite is the pulled pork sandwiches and double dipped ones..

You die when you are 'relieving' yourself, and that is not a good way to go.. 2kilos of meat is going to be hard...
